Recent Achievements - Nathan Potts - 29 Aug 2008
Nathan Potts
Nathan made the Western Region Under 11s team which contested at the State PSSA Championships in Batemans Bay in June.
They played against players across the state, in 6 games over 3 days. There were 11 teams from around the state (4 Sydney teams, 2 Catholic School teams and 4 regional teams). Unfortunately Western Region only won one game during the carnival.
Nathan scored one try during the carnival and he received an award from his teammates for Players Player of the carnival, as each of his Western Region teammates had to vote for a player after every game. He was pretty stoked (as were his parents).
This was a great experience for Nathan that he thoroughly enjoyed it, and he made a lot of good friends including a lot of players he plays against in the Group 10 competition on a Saturday.
Well done Pottsy!
Recent Achievements - Lachlan Sturgeon - 29 Aug 2008
Lachlan Sturgeon
Lachlan was honoured for his amazing footy skills by being named captain for the Group 10 Under 16s team. This team did extremely well at the Country Championships held in Shellharbour, winning two of their three games.
From the Country Championships, Lock was selected as 5/8 for the Southern Country Team. This team travelled to Muswellbrook to play against the Northern Country Team, which saw Southern coming away with the win.
From this game, 17 players were selected for the NSW Country Team. Six of these players were named from the Southern side. Lock was very unlucky to not be selected to represent the state.
A tremendous effort! I'm sure we will continue to see Lock's rugby league career prosper in the following years.
Congratulations Lock!
