Special Day - 28 Feb 2009
The next home game day, we would like all teams to wear black arm bands in a mark of respect to Brendon Sturgeon. Also, before the 16s game will be having a minute's silence, and it would be nice to have as many people as possible there.
Rosewood - 28 Feb 2009
As you all might not be aware, the club is moving to a new Home Ground at Rosewood sometime during the 2009 season. The amenities block is finished, and the major earthworks are also complete. All we need now is the weather to be kind to us for the field to be top dressed and prepared. This can be a home ground for us to be proud of, and we should be able to turn it into one of the best grounds in the junior Group 10 competition. We invite you to go and look at the new grounds.
Also, there will be working bees needed for us to move. You will be notified of these in the next newsletter, BUT until the grounds are ready, we will be at Max Stewart.
Meetings - 28 Feb 2009
Club meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month, and new faces are always welcome. The committee is elected by the members to run the club in a responsible and efficient manner. In order to do this, we ask that any issues or problems are directed to the executive committee in writing, so they can be dealt with appropriately. As all positions are voluntary, please respect the committee's time.
Canteen - 28 Feb 2009
Again this year, Donna Blimka has volunteered to run our canteen for us. All profits made in the canteen go back into the club for purchase of such things as new training equipment and trophies, so please come and do your bit so your child will benefit.
Please don't be shy to volunteer to help either prior to or after your child's game, because if we don't get more volunteers, the canteen will have to be closed for periods of the day.
Coaches - 28 Feb 2009
All coaches are appointed in a voluntary capacity and undertake training to learn the necessary skills to coach a junior team. Please treat them with respect, and if you have any concerns with the methods they use, bring it to the attention of the executive. Overall, remember that without a coach there is no team, and it may be your child that ultimately misses out on a game of football.
